Diamond Sūtra

The Diamond Sūtra is a cornerstone of Buddhist scripture. In this lecture series Ram Karan Sharma provides a word-for-word translation into English from the original Sanskrit. Commentary on each chapter covers important terms and cultural background for the work. The first class of the lecture series was recorded on 18 September 2005 in San Francisco. Audio files are in .wma format.

Ram Karan Sharma is the editor of the book Researches in Indian and Buddhist Philosophy: Essays in Honour of Professor Alex Wayman. The lectures sometimes refer to the books Buddhist Wisdom by Edward Conze and The Diamond Sutra by Red Pine, both of which give translations of the Diamond Sūtra into English.
